Flinch Gordon

Flinch is a 21 st century parody of Flash Gordon under the premise that the initial show was never cancelled in the 50's, Flinch would evolve with time and eventually become a joke character that the audience would antipathies with.   Flinch would be one of those overly cocky guys everyone loves to hate.   Flinch is seen as a jerk, although he is oblivious to the fact.   Flinch is also cheap as he can afford to be a real hero, so he buys cheap replica equipment such as his ship that from a distance looks cool but close up we see that it's covered in rust and the onboard computer runs on an outdated version of Window XP.

Flinch does have some skill though, but this is due to his overconfidence, he can out wit deadly weaponry through blind stupidity but cannot for example outwit a Chinese finger trap.

Flinch is a self richous jerk with no friends, he is a selfish hero with no morals and will gladly kick you when you are down.   Yet from the initial look of Flinch you seem to place your confidence in his character until you are eventually let down and find yourself rooting for other characters.

Ping the Perilous

Ping is your hard done by super villain who wants nothing more than to rule the universe.   Pings not a bad guy, in fact he quite polite and well spoken.   Ping is aware of the fact that each week brings him the same misery and just wants it all to change.   Ping has tried to give up being a bad guy but Flinch wont let him, each week, like clockwork Flinch turns up and destroys Pings home.   Ping has eventually become resolved to the fact that the shows format will eventually change and allow him to end the cycle.   Ping longs for the show to be cancelled.
